Probably the most common piece of writing advice is “show don’t tell”. But what does it actually mean? In this workshop, led by Malachy Tallack, you’ll learn what “showing” entails for a writer, and how indirect and figurative language can bring your work to life. (Suitable for beginner to intermediate writers of fiction and poetry.)

Malachy Tallack is the award-winning author of three books, most recently a novel, The Valley at the Centre of the World (Canongate, 2018). He is from Shetland, and now lives in Dunblane.
