Tolbooth Café Concerts – Julen Santamaria

Julen Santamaria’s work boasts an eclectic back catalogue of songs and original writing showcasing the passion and inspiration from his musical roots in folk and Americana. A mainstay of the vibrant Glasgow music scene, his musical projects exhibit a diverse range of collaborators and compositions. From the Western swing combo Awkward Family Portraits with their second album ‘Dear Old West’ released earlier this year with Holy Smokes Records and Electric Honey; to new projects including ‘Begoña’ and a collaboration with folk singer Alice Faye who will be joining him for this performance. The duo will be sharing a selection of songs of their own, and songs that have inspired them.
