Visitors without small children are kindly ask to come after 8pm.
Join volunteers from Stirling Astronomical Society to view the night sky and stars through their Newtonian reflector designed telescope, constructed and installed in the observatory of the Stirling Highland Hotel by William Peck in 1889. The observatory has a rotating domed roof sheathed in copper whose green surface makes it a familiar landmark in Stirling!
This event is drop in. There will be a presentation by the Society for those waiting on their slot to visit the observatory.
*** Please note this event is not suitable for wheelchair users or those with mobility challenges. The observatory is accessed via three and a half flights of narrow spiral stairs to the roof of the building.
