Friday 27th May
Say Aye Tae The Frock – Local author K M Murphy
Book Talk and Q&A – Plean Library 18:30 – 19:30
Author K M Murphy will be visiting and reading from her book Say Aye Tae the Frock. Say Aye Tae the Frock offers a behind the scenes look into the antics that go on in a small-town bridal shop in Scotland. Forget the euphoric and supposedly dream-like experiences of finding the perfect dress. From Tears and Tantrums to Rogue Bridesmaids and Bride Tribes, these are the stories that no one dares to share.
K M Murphy was born in 1980 in Stirling, Scotland, and was brought up in a small mining village. Her writing career began when she woke up one day and decided, “I’m going to write a book today!” Although kept busy with a part-time job in education, another in bridal retail, doing voluntary work and being a mum and wife, she feels like she has definitely found a new passion in writing. Taking inspiration from her childhood and life experiences, she writes with a very down to earth and refreshingly honest tone.
