Interested in learning about Liquid Light?
Then this is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience and learn some of the techniques. You will work with inks and dyes, and using an overhead projector you will create a unique, live projection. You will have the opportunity to photograph the light show that you create with others and to document the Reflect 2023 festival exhibition installation in the Tolbooth Gallery.
Working with artist, June Barton, you will find out a bit about the history of Liquid Light shows and the technology that grew around it.
June Barton is a recent graduate BA (Hons) in Fine Art from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design. She is based in Glasgow and is a member of Glasgow Print Studio, where she is currently developing her print-making skills and techniques with a focus on colour layering. June first became interested in liquid light projection when she rescued an old school overhead projector from a skip and began experimenting with liquid light techniques which she used for her final degree show in creating an immersive installation.
June is one of the exhibiting artists at the Tolbooth as part of our Reflect 2023 visiting collection. You can enjoy and be inspired by June’s installation in the Tobooth Gallery, throughout August and September.
