Joins us to celebrate Burns Night with a special Supper Club Dinner…
The Burns Supper Club celebrates the best of Scottish cuisine whilst paying homage to our national poet, Rabbie Burns. Our menu for this supper club is fully vegetarian and will be paired with 3 whisky’s matched to each course, presented by a whisky expert.
There will also be table wine included and a guest poet, Bill Adair, to give the traditional address to the Haggis.
Bill Adair – As well as being a fine guitar player and singer Bill Adair is a prize winning poet and songwriter whose award winning songs have won plaudits from all round the world. Equally at home singing a traditional Scottish ballad, playing blues from the Mississippi Delta or performing one of his own songs his performances are complemented by a natural story-telling style that is both thought-provoking and entertaining. From his home in Stirling, Bill is much in demand at festivals and folk clubs all over the UK and throughout Europe and New Zealand. He is widely recognised as a renowned interpreter of the poems and songs of Robert Burns.
Tolbooth Supper Club is proud to support local and independent producers and suppliers. The fruit and veg on tonight’s menu was supplied by Ginger Roots on Port Street and is, where possible, grown in Scotland and our butcher is Campbells of Edinburgh, who have supplied the best restaurants in the UK for over 100 years.
