Breabach Virtual Show – Sun 28th Feb

Supported by grant funding from Creative Scotland, they have teamed up with BAFTA award winning animator Cat Bruce to create a unique performance.

Each of the five band members have written brand new music, which has been set to a new animation specifically created for the tour.

Themed on folklore and mystical tales, it is inspired by the landscape of mountains, rivers, forests and trees (as well as mythical creatures) and tells the story of nature and our surroundings through music and animation.

The band, who are the current title holders of BBC Scots Album of the year award, are working with myplayer, a ticketing  and streaming company responsible for the streaming of the multiple concerts to deliver the event. The Tolbooth will stream the show on 28th Feb and ticket buyers will be sent a time limited ticket to access the stream which can view either on their TV, PC or mobile device. Importantly the stream will not be available on you tube or any other platforms and can only be accessed as part of this tour.

With proceeds shared between the band and participating venues/festivals the music and animation were produced during lockdown and finalised in the winter months of 2020. Ewan Robertson said “It’s been a great process to work with Cat again and to connect with the band, even although we’ve been doing most of it remotely. We are really pleased with this and looking forward to sharing it with audiences”

Ticket sales will be split between the artists and the Tolbooth if you book for the 28th, so you can be confident that your purchase will not only support Breabach, but the Tolbooth too.

Once you have purchased your ticket you will receive an email with information about how to watch the show in the comfort of your own home. The Tolbooth concert will begin at 8pm and each ticket will allow one more screening within a 7 day period. Tickets are only valid for one device at a time and cannot be shared, but gift vouchers can also be purchased.
