Tolbooth’s Recording Studio is comprised of a 22 sq.m Live Room and adjacent control room, situated in what used to be the Tolbooth’s Cellar. The fully sound-proofed facility is home to a high end analogue recording console, boutique outboard equipment and a wide range of rare and industry standard microphones and backline.
The studio is highly flexible and can be utilised for live band recordings, multi-tracked recordings, audio books, podcasts, voice-over work, film soundtracks, mixing, mastering, and sound effects creation.
The control room also connects to the Tolbooth Auditorium, allowing for larger scale recording projects and those aiming to utilise the natural reverb of the concert room.
The recording studio is available for £35.40 per hour incl. VAT. Please note there is a minimum 2 hour hire policy with the studio.
The rate for recording using the Auditorium is £51.98 per hour incl. VAT.
