‘Fèis’ means “Festival” – time to come together + celebrate the Gaelic arts of song, dance + traditional music. Fèis Fhoirt runs weekly traditional music group workshops for young people aged 8-18, welcoming all instruments and abilities. They also run a weekly free Gaelic and Scots song class.
Classes run from 10am-11am (beginners) and from 11am-12pm (intermediate advanced). The free Gaelic/Scots workshops run from 10am-11am (intermediate/advanced/older children) and from 11am-12pm (beginners/younger children). Instruments are available to hire for £5 per month.
Classes follow the school term and the cost per session is £10. Through the Fèis, we aim to keep the music, song and dance of the Scottish Gaelic tradition accessible and fun!
