An alternative Burns celebration with Stirling Makar, Laura Fyfe. There’ll be no shortbread tins, tea-towels or tartan. No mice, mountain daisies or red, red roses. We’ll enjoy poetry of course, but we’ll also look at the man behind the myths, the foibles behind the fables – and consider how Burns’ life relates to us today.
