Tolbooth Projections

The Tolbooth’s music development programme has always been fertile ground for the emergence of exciting new musicians. Acts cut their teeth through our songwriting workshops, instrument lessons and youth music events, and in the blink of an eye are off making the first bold steps of a career in music.

Tolbooth Projections celebrated the bands and artists whose roots began in the venue. Those who have gone on to achieve a level of success and recognition nationally, as well as our tip for ones to watch. Through portrait photography, live session videos filmed in the Tolbooth recording studio, quotes and insights, audiences were immersed in some of Scotland’s best new music.
