Tam Cowan: On the Road

Tuesday 8th September 2026 – The Albert Halls

This September, Tam embarks on this first-ever national tour of Scotland. With the aid of satnav – plus a carefully curated list of great fish ‘n’ chip shops and curry houses – he’ll travel the length and breadth of the country appearing at some of our most popular venues.   He’s temporarily suspended his membership of Slimming World for one month. But for Tam the tour – which is long overdue – can’t come quick enough.  He said: “I’m absolutely thrilled to going out on the first tour of my career.  What a great opportunity to have a laugh, joke and a real carry-on with all the people who’ve been listening to my guff for the past three decades.  I cannae wait.”

Most notably as co-presenter of BBC Radio Scotland’s award winning Off The Ball that celebrates its 32nd anniversary in 2026. Tam is also a popular columnist in The Sunday Post with a light-hearted weekly spread which takes an irreverent look at the world at large. When it comes to playing it for laughs, he’s honoured to be rubbing shoulders with Post legends, Oor Wullie and The Broons. His monthly Aff The Baw comedy show – at Blackfriars in Glasgow – is a hot ticket attracting a diverse list of special guests from the world of football, theatre and TV. Tam’s one-man-show at the Edinburgh Fringe has sold out for the past three years. He is in huge demand for comedy gigs and dinner speaking events and also enjoys his time spent working for different charities … chiefly St. Andrew’s Hospice in Airdrie. A lifelong fan of Motherwell FC, his other big love is his family … wife Liz, daughter Sophie and their wee Maltese dog, Casper. Word is all three can’t wait to see the back of him when he hits the road.

Ardal O’Hanlon: Not Himself

Monday 14th September 2026 – The Albert Halls

Oh, it’s all there! All the trademarks are in evidence in Ardal’s latest show. Beautifully crafted stand-up comedy? Yes. Celebrated use of language? Tick. Lateral thinking, surreal flourishes, sharp observations? Of course. As for the occasional profundity? Maybe. Despite his best attempts over many decades to put the world to rights, it is still a colossal mess. And so, Ardal has no choice but to go out on the road again. Like the good comedy doctor he is, he fearlessly diagnoses the various pathologies and neuroses that are currently ravaging humanity. Disclaimer: No solutions provided. After an alarming experience at the supermarket, Ardal reflects on who he is as a man and a comedian. He examines his own ethnic and religious background. And thinks twice about the very core of his identity as a voice of reason. Is everything a big lie? With no major trauma of his own to draw on for material, apart from the drag of getting older, he also turns his gaze outwards at the joys and follies of contemporary life. Towel Animals? A.I.? Chair Yoga? Cauliflower as a main course? Yes. Yes. Yes. And Yes. No current idiocy is left unexamined. With a highly developed sense of the ridiculous, and proper comedy bones, NOT HIMSELF, is a testament to the healing power of humour. And the joy of jokes.

Ardal is not only an acclaimed stand-up comedian who has performed world-wide. He will be familiar to many from his appearances in TV shows such as TASKMASTER and WOULD I LIE TO YOU?, leading roles in DEATH IN PARADISE, FR TED, and MY HERO as well as cameos in DERRY GIRLS, THE WOMAN IN THE WALL, RETURN TO PARADISE and ROSIE MOLLOY GIVES UP EVERYTHING. He will soon be seen in the feature film, FRAN THE MAN, and the new Netflix series, HOW TO GET TO HEAVEN FROM BELFAST, as well as the CW drama, SHERLOCK AND DAUGHTER. Ardal is currently writing his third novel.

Susan Calman: Tall Tales

Saturday 26th September 2026 – The Albert Halls

Susan Calman hasn’t been on tour in ten years, but now she’s back with a brand-new show. A decade older, but not necessarily wiser, Susan has found herself in some improbable situations over the years. Tall tales is a show about Cruising, driving tanks, cats and getting older. You might have seen her on the television or heard her on the radio but the absolute best way to see her is live on stage. You won’t believe how short she really is. Prepare yourself for an evening of barely believable stories, laughter and probably some dancing.

As seen on Grand Day Out, Cruising with Susan Calman, QI, House of Games and (a long time ago) Strictly Come Dancing

Georgie Carroll: Infectious

Thursday 1st October 2026 – The Albert Halls

Georgie Carroll is back with her brand-new show, INFECTIOUS An undeniable live comedy powerhouse and a natural storyteller, she’s razor sharp and riotous.

Nurse turned comedian, Georgie Carroll is not only brilliantly funny, she is unstoppable on the comedy circuit having performed her smash hit award winning show Sista Flo 2.0 for three solid years of sold out seasons (UK, NZ, AU) . Don’t miss her brand new show!

Amy Matthews: Definitions of Toast

Friday 27th November 2026 – Tolbooth

Amy doesn’t get angry and she’s starting to feel left out, so she’s on a quest to feel fury; from what she can discern from the world around her, it appears to be all the rage… literally.Amy is navigating the joy of her first queer relationship whilst dusting herself off from a string of several alcoholic partners. You’d think she’d have plenty to be cross about, and yet, whilst everyone seems to be more furious than ever, she just can’t seem to tap into her own anger – so she’s challenged herself to learn. This lack of wrath may also have something to do with a processing lag that is becoming increasingly disruptive – and comical – in her life. Her emotions seemed to be delivered by carrier pigeon, if they arrive at all.

This is a show about being awarded Best Supporting Actor in your own life, the beauty of fully embracing queerness in your 30s, and the fact that anger may sometimes look more like nursery rhymes and crying on a bike than punching walls and shouting. It’s worth mentioning that alongside all this soul-searching, this show also tries to fathom why Amy’s mum has started keeping milk in the boot of her car, how a potion from 2002 may have cursed the world, and how a pavement stand-off with a bird became a wake-up call.

As seen on: Her 5-star special, I Feel Like I’m Made of Spiders (ITVx), Comedy Central LiveGifted (BBC) and BAFTA-winning Scot Squad.
