Sir Ian Rankin Presents: Kate Atkinson

From year one of Bloody Scotland, we’ve tried to get Kate Atkinson on the festival programme so we’re beyond delighted that we’ve finally managed to make it happen. Kate is, of course, a highly accomplished and award-winning writer of historical and literary fiction, but it is her six exceptional crime novels featuring private investigator Jackson Brodie that have made us huge fans.

Brodie, the tough former soldier and policeman – played on TV by Jason Isaacs – returns in Death at the Sign of the Rook, a Golden Age homage laced with the author’s wit and originality. Kate will be in conversation with Sir Ian Rankin.
