Yama Rama is a Scottish psychedelic rock band originally conceived as a solo project by Charlie Clark, a seasoned musician known for his work with indie-pop outfit Astrid. The band’s name, a fusion of ‘Yama’—the Hindu god of death and justice—and ‘Rama’—a revered deity—embodies themes of transformation and inner strength that echo throughout their music. The band’s influences stretch far and wide, from classic rock to contemporary indie, all while maintaining a distinct psychedelic edge. Their compositions are marked by dynamic shifts, hypnotic guitar work, and Clark’s evocative vocal delivery.
