New:Noise Celebrating the best Scottish music and local talent at Tolbooth Stirling
Overview

We’re excited to welcome Stirlingshire’s Evie Waddell back to Tolbooth for New:Noise. No stranger to our stage having previously taken part in our Pump Up The Jam band and songwriting programme, Evie has developed a distinctive sound that blends the energy of rap with the driving rhythms of puirt-a-beul, creating music that is both deeply rooted in Gaelic and Scots traditions and refreshingly contemporary. Alongside their band, Evie explores old and new folk influences, pushing traditional forms into unexpected territory while bridging rural and urban worlds with wit, creativity and authenticity. Expect dynamic rhythms, powerful storytelling and a set packed with heart, spirit and a touch of mischief, with flashes of pop-punk energy, infectious beats and the kind of performance that demands to be experienced live.

Susannah Stark is a visual artist, singer and composer originally from Fife. She has presented sound installation work, print and sculptural assemblages around Scotland and internationally, often working in collaboration with other people. In 2020 a collection of her songs ‘Time Together (Hues And Intensities)’ came out on music label STROOM.tv.
