Saturday 27th December 2025
Part of Winterlight Festival - “Where Winter Nights Come Alive” All Tickets now SOLD OUT!
Overview
The Albert Halls Stirling presents Winterlight – a dazzling new winter festival that will light up your December evenings with spectacular live music, featuring some of the biggest acts in Scottish music.
From 27th to 31st December we will welcome some of the finest folk acts for a massive party. First, on 27th December will be Elephant Sessions with special guest Beluga Lagoon (Solo).
As well as the biggest acts, we’ll also be presenting the stars of the future on each of the three big concert nights. The Lesser Hall stage has been taken over each night by Tolbooth’s New Noise programme, which support new talent year-round. New Noise at Winterlight will present an up-and-coming act from Stirling each night, to help us get the party started and to celebrate new talent. Tonight we will welcome New Noise Showcase – Evie Waddell.
The first 100 ticket holders to arrive each night will get to enjoy these bonus performances in The Lesser Hall, before we open the main hall. So if you’ve got a ticket to join us, then make sure you get down early and don’t miss out!

New Noise Showcase – Evie Waddell
Evie Waddell is a Gaelic and Scots singer, and fiddler hailing from Stirlingshire. During her younger years, Evie actively participated in the intergenerational community group Riverside Music Project, as well as music development programs at Tolbooth. While her passion for Scottish Music is deeply rooted in the influence of Jo Miller, Evie also draws inspiration from Ivor Cutler, Martyn Bennet, Lisa O Neill, and Rhiannon Giddens.
Evie Waddell’s unique musical journey is informed by her diverse range of interests, skills, and experiences. As a passionate advocate for the Deaf and hard-of-hearing community, Evie integrates various forms of artistic expression into her performances, incorporating British Sign Language and contemporary dance. Her collaborations with esteemed organisations such as Solar Bear, Theatre Gu Leor, Fèisean nan Gàidheal, and Magnetic North have allowed her to explore the rich intersections of Gaelic culture and communication, amplifying the voices of the d/Deaf community.
