Part of Winterlight – a dazzling new winter festival at Stirling’s Albert Halls.
On Dec 30th, from 10am-4pm, The Albert Halls will be opening its doors for a day of live music and fun for all ages. All for free!

A fun daytime event packed with live music, good food, and entertainment for all. Whether you’re stopping by with friends or bringing the family, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
**Please note, while this is a free event, capacity is limited in the venue and it will be managed continually throughout the day. Queuing may be in place at the entrance.
Our performers bring to the stage a range of genres and styles, with something for everyone including a performances from Melanie Glencross, and Katelyn Baxter, with more to be announced!

Melanie Glencross is a singer, songwriter from Stirling whose come through the Tolbooth Youth Music programme, and has gone on to perform across Scotland. Melanie’s music is best described as Folk-pop, and she has performed at festivals such as ‘Doune the Rabbit Hole’, ‘Vibration Festival’, and Stirling’s Hogmanay, and is looking forward to sharing her music with everyone this December at Winterlight.

Katelyn Baxter is a young singer-songwriter from Stirling who’s folk/alt music touches people’s deepest emotions and tugs on heartstrings with each lyric and chord. With several self-released singles, Katelyn has had the pleasure of being played on national radio including BBC Introducing with her song, ‘Can’t Keep Promises’. Katelyn has played festivals, and lots of gigs across Scotland including and King Tut’s, and was previously a part of Tolbooth Music Development programme.

Thoughtfox is the solo project of Constant Follower guitarist Andrew Pankhurst, trading in atmospheric guitar and hushed vocals. Recent album The Tides, released in May this year, layers fingerpicked acoustics with ambient guitar textures on songs indebted to nature, family and pull of the sea.

The Driftwood Rule are Stirlingshire father and daughter, Chris and Caitlin. Their pretty, melancholy, campfire lullabies are born from their shared love of traditional and modern folk and acoustic pop music.”

NEW to the line-up! Jen Dunbar Stirling resident Jen makes weird and whimsical music, and plays gigs regularly in Stirling. This year Jen released her EP ‘Live at Stirling Books’. Jen returns to the Albert Halls for the All Ages Afternoon after her performance in the Lesser Hall before Skerryvore on night 3 of the Winterlight festival.
